The stone was sound. I lifted the uneven flags, put the bed right and relaid the path.

Garden deck rebuild
One garden, from strip-out to the finished boards. The work underneath comes first.
Deck repairs & rebuilds
Take out what’s gone
The old deck had soft boards and a damaged frame. I stripped it out to start again underneath.
Set out the understructure
The new frame takes shape beside the house, with membrane beneath it.
Build from the frame
Membrane down, treated joists in, levels checked. The preparation happens before the boards.
Put the boards on last
The finished deck, with the frame below it put right. I clear up and leave the garden tidy.
